Zoola, a children's comic and animation project aimed at audiences aged 5–16, is now being developed across three formats: print comics, digital comics, and 2D animation. The project introduces a character-driven storytelling approach designed to engage young readers and viewers through visual narratives and relatable everyday experiences.
The story follows Zoola, a six-year-old boy navigating the small but meaningful challenges of childhood. Through humorous and heartfelt moments, the series explores curiosity, imagination and the everyday adventures that shape a child's perspective of the world.
Inspired by events drawn from real life, the creators of Zoola aim to maintain an authentic tone in each chapter and episode while presenting the story in a playful and accessible format for younger audiences.
"Zoola is about capturing the small moments that make childhood meaningful," said the project's creator Sundaramurthy Murugan. "The aim is to tell stories that feel real while still being fun, quirky and visually engaging for children."
The project is currently being pitched to publishers internationally, with plans to distribute the comic series through both print and digital platforms in order to reach a wider global audience.
Production on the comic series is already underway. Two chapters have been completed and prepared for printing, and the team expects a total of five chapters to be completed by April or May 2026.
Alongside the comic series, Zoola is also expanding into animation. The first 2D animated episode is scheduled to become available for free streaming in March at IC Studios' official website, marking the project's first step into animated storytelling.
Additional updates regarding publishing partnerships, new chapters and future animated episodes will be announced as the project continues development.
